As population densities increase worldwide, Government Planners, Developers, Architects and Engineers face huge challenges in providing the necessary infrastructure to solve the new challenges created by the growth. Whilst tremendous advances have been made in facilities involving water, sewerage and communication, solid waste or “garbage” as it is more commonly called still gets handled in the traditional “bucket-collector” system. This traditional method involves a lot of vehicles, labour and cost... and is smelly, unsightly, unhealthy, inconvenient and costly.
