Central Vacuum Cleaning Systems - Multi-User Systems

  Present Problems

Conventional methods of using Brooms, Mops, Buckets, Vacuum Cleaners, Carpet Extractors, Floor Scrubbers and other portable equipment have the following problems:

Fine dust, odours and chemicals from portable vacuums is re-circulated within the building leading to the Sick Building Syndrome (SBS).
The process of cleaning with noisy equipment requires them to be used after or before office hours leading to additional security risks for the building.
It is not possible to monitor or check the cleaning activity within the building.
Cleaning personnel spend a lot of time transporting clean water from a source that often is some distance away from the location being cleaned.
They also waste their time moving dirty water from the cleaning site to a toilet or drain that is located far away.
Water that is used for the mopping process gets dirty very fast and often results in "dirty" water being used for the cleaning process.
Noisy carpet extractors are often restricted to usage after regular hours and means overtime costs and need to maintain additional lighting and other services (eg. Security) during the process.
Very often the cleaning process is "compromised" due to the labour intensive nature of the process.
Toilets and other critical areas need to be "closed off" for the cleaning process, inconveniencing users.

  Stream Central Vacuum Cleaning Systems

To address the above problems, STREAM offers 2 types of systems:

Central Vacuum Cleaning Systems - Dry pick-up.
Central Vacuum Cleaning Systems - Spray, Wet & Dry pick-up.

Stream Central Vacuum Cleaning Systems - Dry Pick-up

These advanced cleaning systems work in the following manner:

Vacuum inlets are distributed throughout the building to be cleaned. Inlets exist for wall, floor or ceiling mounting to enable all types of inlet configurations for the system.
These inlets are connected by a network of UPVC pipes to a Central Vacuum Plant that is generally located in a basement or ground floor plant room.
The inlets are linked by a 24 VDC control system that starts the system anytime the hose end is plugged into a vacuum inlet.
All the dust, dirt and chemicals sucked into the hose are quietly transported to the CV Plant where the efficient filtration system traps 99.9% of the dust sucked into the system.
All gases, microscopic particles, odours, etc that cannot be trapped are exhausted to the exterior of the building, ensuring 100% removal of all particles sucked into the cleaning tools.
The CV Plant that typically consists of multiple vacuum pumps, only kicks in the required number of pumps to cater for the simultaneous usage.
These powerful industrial rated vacuum pumps generate more suction power than any portable vacuum and give years of trouble free operation.

Stream Central Vacuum Cleaning Systems - Spray, Wet & Dry pick-up

These advanced cleaning systems work in the following manner:

Vacuum inlets combined with water supply outlets are distributed throughout the areas to be serviced by the system.
To activate the system all the Cleaner has to do is insert a hose end into the vacuum socket and the vacuum system automatically starts for wet or dry pick-up.
The system is also provided with accessories that have a quick connection to the spray outlets to allow for spraying water or dilute chemicals on hard floors or carpet areas as well as extraction of the dirty solutions.
Floors can now be sprayed with water or automatically diluted cleaning solutions and all the dirty water instantly sucked into the vacuum inlets.
As the vacuums use industrial rated pumps with high airflows and suction, the floors are dried to a much higher level than with conventional portable vacuums.
The whole process is done silently and without the operator moving away from the areas being cleaned, sourcing for fresh water or disposing dirty solutions.
